I saw a talk on TED with Paula Scher where she talks about her work, it being serious or solemn and the PLAY factor.

As for me personally I feel I'm taking things mostly too serios and don't truly enjoy the process, what I think is the most important and exciting part of the design work. The whole creative process becomes a struggle for me and makes me wonder weather I'm doing the right thing. Only when I reach the point where I think I know what I'm doing next and I can see the light at the end of the tunnel, the time spent thinking and being passive gets justified.
